June 5, Santa Cruz Yacht Club. Returning to the Santa Cruz Yacht Club after a wonderful event in 2023, we'll welcome Ronnie Simpson as our speaker. Ronnie, a wounded US Marine who recently competed in the Global Solo Challenge, will tell us about his race, dismasting, and eventual rescue after rounding Cape Horn. 

Santa Cruz Yacht Club is located above the lower Santa Cruz Harbor basin, with a commanding view of the harbor and Monterey Bay. Over 100 dry-stored sailboats, the majority of which were build in Santa Cruz, complete the view. Known for its outstanding sailing conditions, especially in summer, the waters around the Santa Cruz Harbor are the favorite venue for North American and World Championships for dozens of sailboat classes.
