For his very well planned and executed single-handed nonstop circumnavigation from Victoria to Victoria, British Columbia. His 177 day voyage began in late 2002 in his 42 foot cutter, Taonui and was completed in 2003. Prior to that, he and his wife, Coryn, had sailed about 115,000 miles over most of the world.
