The Circumnavigation Award is earned by CCA member/owners for one continuous circumnavigation of the world in the same yacht. The member-owner may break the voyage for periods of no longer than six months, but he or she must resume the voyage from the same ports where it was broken. Forty-five Circumnavigation Awards have been presented since 1958 when the first Circumnavigation Award was presented to Irving and Exy Johnson for 7 voyages around the world
